Why do anxious attachment people feel more attached when someone is inconsistent?
From a relationship reading perspective, what I keep seeing is a very specific anxious attachment pattern. It doesn’t start as love. It starts as activation. The anxious person doesn’t attach to stability — they attach to relief. He disappears for hours, then returns with “missed you.” Your nervous system relaxes, not because it feels safe, but because the uncertainty stopped. She becomes intensely close at night, emotional, almost intimate — then distant again the next morning. He gives small, unpredictable signals of care: a soft voice note, one unusually warm date, then silence. Over time, the pattern becomes the relationship itself. Distance → anxiety → return → relief. And the nervous system starts calling that chemistry. From a reading perspective, this is not stable attachment forming. It’s a loop being trained. So the real question isn’t who you’re attached to. It’s what your system has learned to confuse with love. If this resonates, it often points to a deeper attachment pattern that repeats across situations, not just one relationship. This is exactly the kind of pattern I work with in readings. If you want, you can reach out and I can look at your pattern more directly.
