The Last Meeting Theory: Some People Are Not Your Forever.
Jul 23, 2026
I recently came across a concept called the “Last Meeting Theory.” It says: When two people have learned everything they were meant to learn from each other, life slowly creates distance between them. In other words: Some connections have an expiration date. Not everyone who enters your life is meant to stay forever. Some people come to love you. Some come to hurt you. Some come to teach you. Think about Jack and Rose from Titanic. Maybe their love feels unforgettable because it never had the chance to become ordinary. Because when passion becomes daily life — responsibilities, stress, and reality — relationships change. But an ending doesn’t mean the love wasn’t real. Sometimes someone’s purpose in your life is not to stay. It’s to show you something about yourself. The question isn’t always: “Will they come back?” Sometimes the deeper question is: ✨ “What did this connection teach me?” ✨ “What part of myself needs healing?” ✨ “Am I holding on because I love them, or because I’m afraid to let go?” As a tarot reader, I don’t believe tarot is about predicting a fixed future. It’s about helping you understand your emotions, your patterns, and the lessons hidden inside your relationships. If you’re struggling with love, separation, or uncertainty, a tarot reading can help you find clarity and reconnect with your intuition. Sometimes the answer isn’t about finding them again. It’s about finding yourself.
