my boyfriend tried to commit suicide in front of me last night and now my rabbit is sick.

Someone shared a story about the worst night they’ve had in a long time. They were driving with their boyfriend on the 101, going around 75 mph, when they got into a huge argument. During the fight, emotions reached a breaking point, and they told him they should break up. Then he opened the car door and tried to jump out. The situation instantly became terrifying. After everything that happened, they finally made it home. They were exhausted. They had barely slept. All they wanted was to calm down and cuddle their rabbit — the one thing that usually made them feel safe and comforted. They fell asleep for about two hours. When they woke up, they noticed something was wrong. Their rabbit’s backside was covered in poop. They told their dad, and that’s when they found out the rabbit had actually been having diarrhea since two mornings before. Suddenly, instead of resting, they were rushing out of the house to an exotic animal vet after only getting two hours of sleep. They said they felt completely overwhelmed. It wasn’t just one problem. It was everything happening at the same time: A relationship crisis. Fear. Exhaustion. A sick pet they loved. And no time to process any of it. Sometimes people don’t break down because one thing is too much. Sometimes they break down because too many things happen before they even have time to recover from the last one. Have you ever had a moment where life seemed to pile everything on you at once? What helped you get through it?
