Found out guy I’m dating is sleeping with others
Jul 23, 2026
They had been dating for a few months. The chemistry was real. They laughed together, spent time together, and it felt like something was growing. Then she found out he was still sleeping with other people. His response was simple: “We weren’t exclusive.” And technically, he was right. But that sentence always leaves out the part that matters: What did both people think was happening? Because relationships don’t break only when someone cheats. Sometimes they break when two people are living in completely different realities. One person thinks, “We’re building something.” The other thinks, “I’m still keeping my options open.” Neither person may have broken a rule. But someone’s feelings still get hurt. The bigger question isn’t: “Was he allowed to do this?” It’s: “Can I trust someone whose definition of commitment is so different from mine?” Because loyalty isn’t only about what happens after the label. It’s about whether someone naturally moves toward you when they see potential. Love is not a contract. But clarity matters.
